2nd Annual Entrepreneur “Show and Tell”

Philly Startup Leaders’ Entrepreneurs, Technology and Creative Professionals

Organize Free Public Tradeshow

April 5, 2010, Philadelphia, PA – Bright Ideas? Philly has them. The Entrepreneur Expo, a Philly Startup Leaders event, will showcase the work of top Philadelphia-area entrepreneurs in a tradeshow setting, with an estimated 40 exhibitors and a select number presenting keynote addresses about their emerging businesses. The first Entrepreneur Expo (2009) drew over 400 attendees from the technology, investment, business, educational and political communities, all of whom caught a glimpse of the future and came together to celebrate innovation in the Philadelphia area. The 2010 Entrepreneur Expo will be free of charge to attendees, open to the public and will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13th, at the University of the Arts, Hamilton Hall. Visit http://expo.phillystartupleaders.org for more information.

“This is our biggest event of the year in terms of scale and attendance. Startups exhibiting their projects have the opportunity to get feedback from hundreds of the brightest entrepreneurs in Philly, all at once,” said Blake Jennelle, President and Founder of Philly Startup Leaders. “For the people walking the expo floor, it’s like brain candy. I don’t think it’s possible to leave without a half dozen new ideas you can go back and put to work the next day.”

The Expo welcomes entrepreneurs, students, educators, and investors; leaders in the political, legal, and business communities; as well as those who are thinking about starting a new company, to attend and engage with exhibitors and presenters.

“The Credo of Philly Startup Leaders is the creation and execution of novel business concepts by using personal initiative, ingenuity and risk tolerance of startup entrepreneurs. The result is the kind of robust new business activity for the region, which will enable it to become one of the most resilient in these times,” said Steve Goodman, Senior Partner at Morgan Lewis. “It is exciting to see the way in which PSL is infusing this exciting event with its great energy and creativity.”

Entrepreneurs may apply to exhibit and give keynote presentations through the website: http://expo.phillystartupleaders.org. Early registration is recommended as there are a limited number of spaces available.

Entrepreneur Expo is sponsored by Morgan Lewis & Bockius, the University of the Arts, the Miguel Angel Corzo Center for the Creative Economy, Volpe & Koenig, the Science Center and University City Keystone Innovation Zone.
